I won't miss hockey untill the playoffs. That is real hockey, the regular season is pretty boring. So, no, I don't miss it at all.

No NHL is no problem for me. My favorite player doesn't play there yet.

the season hasnt "officially" been cancelled yet, should be soon. the all star game has been though GOOD RIDDANCE i hope the league goes bankrupt.
you know whats ironic? 1/3 of nhl players are playin in europe for hundreds of thousands of dollars but they wont budge for lowerin an avg salary of over 1.5 million here:af: :af: EVEN MORE ironic is Scott gomez is playing in a small minor league team the alaska aces for $500 a week. WTF is that??? greedy sons of b*tches should all be fired screw pro hockey we dont need it

The NHL is done..expansion has ruined the game and the owners are to blame for the salaries. Why should the players take a pay cut after the owners have been paying these exorbitant salaries all these years? Go see the P Bruins..they are still playing.

I miss it. Being a die hard ranger fan I've only seen one stanley cup in my life-time. I do think the players deserve what they got. But what about contraction? or starting over? I think making the league 10 or 15 teams would be good for the sport.

From the Bruins website...

NESN will air the first of its Classic Bruins games on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. The first game in the Classic Bruins series is from March 21, 1991 when the Bruins and Quebec Nordiques squared off in an Adams Division battle at the Boston Garden.

Don't like hockey at all anyway.......why, has the season suffered some set-back? :bl:

I really do not think anyone cares to be honest....I have not heard any discussion about it from anyone...even sports radio EEI has for the most part, not mentioned it!:laughs:

Because two thirds of the teams are losing money just trying to stay competitive. If the players want to continue to have the job of playing a game for a living, and for good money I might add, then they should accept the salary cap. If not, then I'm sure the kids coming out of college and the QMJHL and the like would be happy to take their jobs.

I believe there should be contraction in the NHL..way too many teams creates mediocrity. Why does Florida have 2 teams? And do people really care about hockey in Nashville, Atlanta, and Carolina? What a joke. I miss the old days of the Adams division and Campbell and Wales conferences. Once the NHL got away from that its been downhilll from there.

I played in the State Police Hockey Tourny in Marlboro last night and there were a few NHL guys playing in it also. They were actually pretty bumbed out about the season. I think the major problem is that the NHLPA has to realize that they are going to have to take pay cuts. There is not enough revenue for them to be making what they do.
