I was curious if any of you guys might know where I can find some information on the island. I have been there before but I was more interested in some of the history of it. I know that guys have been fishing there for a long time, was looking to learn more about it. Any of you guys know of any good web sites or books that are available? Also, do any of you know where I can get a decent map of the island? Any information would be great, thanks in advance, Jay.

I have a book, written in 1867 by Genio C. Scott, callled "Fishing in American Waters" that goes into detail about his stay there and the fishing along with other bass clubs such as west island etc. I am bringing this book when I talk at MSBA on the 17th. It's very interesting.

I have this book. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0738509809/qid=1099694508/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-2311645-1456607?v=glance&s=books
It is very interesting. Also I took an autobon tour of the eliz. islands that includes day trip to CH where the trip leader gave us all a great rundown on the history of the place. They still have it. It runs from falmouth and is in Aug and Sept I think
