I've been catching a lot of small (very small) fish over the past ten days and was wondering whats in store for the next week.
Do the smaller fish lead the migration, or are they the last to come through?

Schoolies are the last to come throught except for the really big girls. If you are very dedicated and want a really big cow, late Nov and early Dec is the time. Brutal weather but there will be a few big fish till Christmas.
Iknow a guy who fishes the Channel in December livelining Shad. He uses a 7' Tuna blank with a big Shimano boat reel. Every year he takes a 40+ around Christmas.
2 years ago a couple of the Narraganset sharpies found a school of 15 to 20# fish on Dec 15th. I took an 18# fish last year on Dec 18th in Narragansett.:wid:

That’s great news, but I think my wife will disagree. Any recommendations on how to tell her that I’m skipping Thanksgiving dinner to go fishing?
Although, I could just make-up for it at Christmas… a big cow would make a great stocking stuffer.
