Is this weekend a get together or a tornament? I read the tornament page, but I don't understand a couple things.

1) It says something about four legs. If this is so, am I 'behind' so to speak. I mean it seems this has been going on for a while.

2) Is catch and release mandatory? I don't plan on filling up any coolers, but it has been a while since I've eatin' a bass.

3) Am I welcome to attend? If not for the torney, just to meet a few of you.

4) How is the day planned? I know you guys/gals are meeting at the tackle shop for eats, but after that does everyone go their seperate ways or are you paired up or something?

5) Most importantly, is anyone gonna get PO'd if I take a fish or two. I know alot of people believe in strictly C&R, so I wouldn't wanna make any of my new friends mad. :D

1. No your not behind, nobody really entered any fish till the thir leg.

2.Yes for the fish you enter. If you get a large enough fish to enter in the tournament it must be measured and released for it to count. It also has to be witnessed by another board member. If you are not going to enter a fish then you can keep it. Right now minnimum size is over 38" for thre tournament. So if ya want to keep a 38" or smaller it's ok. You will have to check Rhody regs for their size limits, I don't know what they are.

3. Ah , it will cost ya some of those hot plugs you make. :D Of course you can come but John would have to let you know if you are eligible to enter a fish. I believe you meet all the requirements.

4.Meet at Weekapaug B&T at 1pm and we will fish in groups depend on what you like to do.

5. For every fish you take you must donate 5 of the aforementioned plugs to John for dispersal amongst the troops. :D Help yourself, I was only kidding. Cya there Jenty.

Seriously - Jenty - you are certainly welcome to come and you do qualify. It really is a meet/tourney in the sense that main thing we do, is get together and meet the people that razz each other online all day long. The other side is that we fish! People break off into groups and try to slay some bass. If you get one that qualifies, release it, and have someone sign it off, the top fish overall will get some nice prizes that are being donated by Mike T, Don M/Weekapaug, J Habs is donating some plugs, Saltheart & I are putting together some rods for this too... So the prizes kinda sweeten the mix. There's no charge for showing up - although everyone is welcome to bring some food or soda or salsa for Saturday's grille...

THe current standings have Redcrbbr leading with a 42.5 fish...

If you choose to keep a bass, you just can't enter it. Remember for Rhody - it needs to be 28 inches or 31 for CT (they changed it a 2 months ago again).... And I'm the first to admit - if I gat a fifty during the tourney - I'm not so sure I could release her
