Hard to hide from someone when you're wearing blaze orange. I feel bad for the victims' families :( Notaro 11-22-2004, 11:24 AM what do you know, it is a vietnamese shooter! man, i feel bad for those family and people. over for a tree stand? oh man Skip N 11-22-2004, 11:25 AM Can we bring back the firing squad and blow away this piece of crap right now? What a sad story and a sick guy. Hope he dies a slow death in prison.:af: jugstah 11-22-2004, 04:10 PM If they can do this for hunting, I worry about spot-fighting next when someone gets pissed at you and busts a cap in your butt for telling him he's in your spot. MAC 11-22-2004, 04:56 PM This will give the Antis' ammunition for the assault weapons ban:( Really is a shame. My condolences go out to the families of victims. partsjay 11-22-2004, 04:56 PM That's insane. This guy has got some problems to say the least. All over a tree stand, that is sad.....feel for the families.:( maddog2020 11-23-2004, 09:10 AM I feel terrible for the people familes as well. :( I would never run - I would have shot the SOB down as soon as he opened fire. They shouldn't have taken matters into their own hands - that is what the police are for. Usually not a good idea to confront some one who had a loaded firearms - esp NOT an a paramiltary one. I was hunting on private property once in CT up in a tree stand - three guys come down a hill and they see me (they are trespassing since I my buddy told me he hadn't given any one permission to hunt). One of them must have had a new rifle since he was showing it to another guy. What does this guy do?! He points the FK'n thing at ME while looking thru the scope! I leaned/curled around the tree and started yelling at them and figured if I got shot by "mistake" I wasn't going to be too happy. They couldn't understand why I was so mad at them>!?# After that my friend posted his land and local EPOs patrol the roads on a routine basis (guy lived up the street). I hunt another spot now much more secluded. I always use a flashlight going in and out. I can see, but I want to make sure some yahoo knows it is a person and not a deer. ;) People do WEIRD things when they get "cornered". FishWebb 11-23-2004, 09:13 AM Unfortunately the total is up to 6 dead as of this morning. :( Backbeach Jake 11-23-2004, 08:57 PM The shooter was identified as a Hmong tribesman in this country for 20 years. He claims he was fired on first and was called racial slurs. If this is true then those poor souls picked on the wrong guy. The Hmong were the mentors of our Green Berets in SE Asia and were screwed for their efforts. Great woodsmen. Whatever the true story, it's still one hell of a tragedy. My heart goesout to all. Nebe 11-23-2004, 09:27 PM :hs: I hate guns. tynan19 11-23-2004, 11:42 PM They say that these Huong from Laos do not understand private property. There have been numerous confrontations between the Huongs and other hunters. Eben it is not the guns it is the people behind the guns, he could have done it with a knife. I don't know, There might be something more to this story. Heard this morning that they haven't charged him w/ anything as of yet. TBone 11-24-2004, 08:25 AM What I want to know is what the hell was this guy doing out there with a full clip of 20 rounds!?!?! My rifle holds four and that seems excessive to me... wahlie 11-24-2004, 09:05 AM First off, there is NO NEED to be carrying an sks out into the woods. Whatever happened to one shot one kill? Regardless of what was said people post property for a reason. I've been hunting my whole life and have run into people on my land. You kindly ask them to leave the premise. Don't get in their face because remember they've got a loaded firearm as well. If you see a posted sign then you know that you are somewhere where you shouldn't be. COMMON SENSE! I can't believe something like this could happen... My prayers go out to all of the families involved. Again, regardless of what was said, this guy was trespassing on private property. Vectorfisher 11-24-2004, 05:48 PM The whole thing makes me sick, and the media loves this crap. They reported the other day that a 15 year old Maine boy was shot and killed in a hunting accident, and now this, it won't be long and more restrictions will be coming mark my words, the liberals will have a field day with this and more law abiding citizens will lose out. dannyplug1 11-25-2004, 11:38 AM now I know how the deer feel. I dont undestand hunting but it wouldnt be right to eliminate it all together. pete santini 11-26-2004, 11:31 AM the guy was a sharpshooter with his markmanship it really a tragedy that he kiled deer hunters and not insurgents in mosul and fallujah Kennedy and crew will have a party with this damn shame vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
