What a great trip I had east of the B Buoy on Saturday with a group from Andover, Salem and Woburn. Some of the guys were experienced cod fisherman and two of the ladies were rookies. We hit them hard and early with doubles to 20 LBS. One of the young ladies had a fish topping the scale at 46 LBS and I figured that was going to be the largest of the day. I was wrong as one very experienced gentleman on board had one top 50 Plus. Everything was on jigs and I plan on going again on Tuesday if the weather man permits. I will be running a shared (open boat) charter which are a lot of fun. It looks like many of the dogs moved out and things can only get better. Lets hope come Wednesday the area is not plastered with too many gillnets when the commercial season opens. Once again it was like being at a meeting with Ronnie and Peter Santani and other friends all enjoying this great fishery.
