View Full Version : While you are xmass wishing..
reelecstasy 11-29-2004, 12:54 PM Please say a little prayer for my little girl. Recently we found out she has lost her hearing in her left ear and 50% in her right. Tomorrow/Tuesday she is going to Mass Eye and Ear for more extensive testing and hopefully some type of plan for some recovery. She is the sweetest 6yr old I have ever met and is so thoughtful of everyone..She is scared inside but does not show it. We reassure her alot that things will be ok, and she just says "I know"..The other day she came down from her room holding a Care Bear and said (keep in mind she just turned six " This is a very special bear, she has a problem in her ear too, the same ear as me. It hurts alot but she is a special bear and can tell the future, and the future is, she is going to be ok.." With tears in my eyes I replied, yes she is a very special bear and everything will be better than fine, it will be great..
We are far from a wealthy family and all the Dr's appointment and missed work has taken a very serious toll on us. We are scraping by, barely sometimes not ..Danielle and her twin brother Austin are the most special part of my life and the greatest blessing ever. So at this time of year I would love to be wishing for money or a plug from all the builders on this site like I planned all year. But instead, all my wishes go to my little girl..They both mean more to me than life..
So please as you guys wish for rods and reels and pluggage, say a little something for my little girl, she doesn't deserve to be fighting this fight so early on in her life..Thanks guys....
-Chris

Canalman 11-29-2004, 04:57 PM It's hard to think of something to say in a time like this because I know nothing can make you feel any better. But, I hope that the fact that whether or not everyone who reads this post replies to it, you have a thought in each one of our minds and a prayer whether it is voiced or silent from each one of us too. You just have to believe that she will recover and she will. Good luck Chris.

I'll say a prayer for your daughter, and hopefully it can be treated.
As with Notaro and Jugstah, I've been deaf my whole life, and feel free to ask any questions if they arise.

Rock Hopper 11-29-2004, 11:14 PM Chris,
My wish for you and your family is that your little girl fully recover from this and that you, your wife and children stay strong and united through it. The worst thing that can happen to a loving parent is see their children suffer any pains.
A lot of people here for you bud.
Kadir
