the machine known as the n.e. patriots invades the dog pound tomorrow. new coach, second or third string qb, injuries.. in the past this would be viewed as a trap game, but with this patriots team it should be a 14 pt game. these guys are that good and superbly prepared, go patriots!!!!!! oh, almost forgot to mention how lucky they are:D

More like,
Put you're feet up and watch the Pats do just enough to beat the Browns.
No such thing as a "Cake walk " with the Pats, they never blow teams out, even BAD TEAMS!!!

Great win for your time we knew the battle would be hard fought:laughs: :laughs: On another note does anyone notice the Pats seem to be playing dirty lately?? How many personal foul flags have been thrown on them in the past few games? I like the lineman blocking at the knee's from behind thats a classis, maybe Duce Staley was telling it like it is:eek:

I do believe a Patriots player got chop blocked before that play..a little payback. That flag on Rodney was bs..he gets singled out every week, it was a clean hit.

You kidding not from the replay I saw helmet too helmet is what I saw. He is also the most fined player in the NFL.

I think Vectorfisher is a bitter Steeler fan who can't face the fact that the Patriots are far and away a better team than the Pittsburg Kneelers!;)

Funny though...the Pats get no credit from many of you guys....they blow out the Browns and we get...:sleeps:...and when we beat the respectable teams we get called "lucky"? :smash: When are you guys...Vectorfisher and Raider Ron to name two....gonna give the 2 Superbowl in 3 year Patriots the credit they deserve?:laughs:

Not any time soon!!!
So they beat up on a team with a,
3rd string rookie quarterback,
an interm coach coaching his 1st game after their coach resigned 1 week ago!!!:smash:
BIG DEAL
show me a blow out against a good team and I'll give them some credit!!!

I agree with you Ron....they should have beaten' the snot out of the Browns today and did......but you guys keep giving us the "football is not the game it used to be" crap! :smash: If the Raiders were winning....:laughs:....it would be tantamount to the "rebirth" of the game the way it used to be! Face facts gents....with the exception of todays joke game....look at the run this team has been on and the records they have broken and set.....is it just the last 3 seasons the game has been stocked with mediocrity.........I don't think so! This team is as good as any you can name! Period! On any given Sunday folks???? Well....the Pats have played many a game the past 3 seasons, and not too many are beating them and they have played some great teams! However, you doubting Thomases will always find some "logical" reason as to why the Patriots "got lucky" and won the game! "Oh, so and so was injured" or "the ref made a lousey call that cost so and so the game"!:bc: Wah, wah, wahhhhhhhhh!

fishaholic18

This is tackle football, isn't it? Aren't they allowed to hit?
I think they have gone too far with all the personal foul calls. Let them hit like it used to be. As far as the Pats playing dirty, I think I saw a few chop blocks from the Browns, and didn't Brady take a helmet shot in the head? Didn't here him complain.

Who needs credit when you're Superbowl Champs!
We'll see who cares about credit when we win the SB this year!

BF I will make my statement again the best team in the NFL beat the other two best teams in the NFL and that would be the Steelers;) You have nothing to say until proven otherwise, the rest is just BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH and you know it:p

do you really think that the patriots showed " ooohh.. big ben.. ooohh " anything, they were thinking of the post sesason. you win two games and you want to be corinated. the boy won't know to s#@t or go blind if they make it to afc champ game:D the squeelin kneelers were the best team then, but this is now.

But the Steelers lost to the Ravens???? The Pats beat them..........hmmmmmm....very strange!:D I would just have to say that in the games against the Pats and the Eagles that the Steelers got......"lucky"!:laughs:

Steelers lost first game with Maddox at the helm, now Big Ben holds the cards and you cannot compare how two teams play each other in plea of your argument just can't do it! Steelers manhandled the Pats AGAIN BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH You guys had better hope Indy doesnt play the Pats because they wont make it to the Steelers Indy can't keep losing to them bound to change and the way there playing I say WATCH IT!! Thats pretty funny lucky 24-3 EAGLES game they didnt get a 1st down until 2.00 before the half:smash: And take away the turnovers against the Pats and it is still a tie game. YAH there such a better team:laughs:

Philladelphia played exeptionally well today. The Pats played like they play . It may take them a quarter but when they fiqure out what works watch out. 96 yard touchdown drive was awesome.

Dillon is the man, I just love the way he busts to the outside puts up a stiff-arm and runs the defense over.

Offense sells tickets and make Sportscenter highlights.

Defense wins championships.

Manning's record in big games is horrible, going back to his days at Tennessee when he couldn't get the Vols past Florida.

The Colts remind me of the Rams the year they won the SB---great dome team with a high octane turf/dome offense. Dome teams win SBs when they have home field advantage thruout the play-offs. That ain't happening with the Colts this year, unless the Pats finish 1-3 and the Steelers collapse.

Raider Ronnie
12-05-2004, 09:38 PM
I may be wrong, but I think that high octane offense of the Rams DID win the super bowl that year , didn't they?
Mannings got a lot more weapons than he's had in the past!

Vectorfisher
12-05-2004, 09:55 PM
I agree with Ronnie partially, part of me says hell ya they will be in the bowl or at least the AFC championship game but I am not sure the Colts can play a smashmouth game, like the Steelers are playing tonight. I think that is there downfall if you have to pick apart the Colts. There receivers remind me alot of the Rams and Vikings they run out of bounds don't like to get hit, etc. And I could be wrong but if DEFENSE wins championship games the Pats can't beat the Steelers cause there the # 1 DEFENSE in the NFL:p

Funny, when the Steelers win they "manhandled" the opposition....when the Pats win they are "lucky"!:smash: I recall the Pats coughing the ball up quite a bit in that Steelers game....because they played sloppy, not because the Steelers played well! Though I will say after every time the Pats coughed the ball up the Steelers made the most of it by scoring TD's....but it was the Pats that beat themselves in that one Vectorfisher.....thats about what it takes for the Pats to lose....they need to beat themselves by playing sloppy and coughing up the ball and by the way....they have only played sloppy in 1 game out of the last...what is it....24 games? This is like...:wall:...beating my head against the wall cause' you are never going to concede to the facts that are before you.....it is in the Pats record over the past 3 seasons....in the outcome of 2 of the 3 seasons....and in all of the stats that you ignore! The Pats take the lead first in virtually every game, they go into the fourth quarter with a lead and they never lose....the list goes on and on and on but many of you nay-sayers can face these facts.....the Pats are the best team in all of football! That is what the statistics undeniably show! Prove me wrong!

Vectorfisher
12-05-2004, 09:59 PM
STATS dont mean crap STEELERS beat the Pats the rest is BLAH BLAH BLAH until proven different;) Best team in the NFL

Yup--but they also played the NFC title game and the SB in a dome. Home in what used to be the TWA Dome for the NFC, and the Super Bowl in the Georgia Dome.

Were talkin' Patriots here Ron.....and you know what....I did not jump on the bandwagon......I admitted I was wrong and proven so.....more than I can say for some guys! By the way...yeah, I was positive the Sox were gonna get killed by the Yanks, and they were down 3 games to none......when they came back and beat the Yankees, sure I was impressed, but going into the series Ron....I knew they could beat the Cards.;)
