Had 'em so long I'm not sure if they're original Pinchleys or Beachmasters. Whoever made them marketed them under the model name "Eely". capesams 12-05-2004, 09:21 PM MikeP...the long skinny one? Mike P 12-05-2004, 09:56 PM 'Bout 8" I think, but has 2 belly hooks. I just went looking for them, but the wife re-arranged the basement :wall: Had to move a chain saw and a bed frame  metallip 12-06-2004, 06:34 AM they are 7 inch eelys they also came with a sloped head and a jointed one to capesams 12-06-2004, 06:53 AM anyone got a pic of this eely plug?? thought I had made something new. steelhead 12-06-2004, 08:01 AM Between seeing Capesam's work and then a Danny Pinchney Sandeel plug on *bay, I was inspired to hit the basement last night. Here's what I came up with. It's about 1" long and 3/4" wide at the shoulder. Has an NJT #1 Lefty lip. Not sure aobut weights. The Dad Fisherman 12-06-2004, 08:23 AM That Red w/ Black Head is pretty slick looking.. piemma 12-06-2004, 08:48 AM What's the width of the lip? I made some skinny Dannys but they didn't swim right. I think the lip was too big. Bronko 12-06-2004, 09:13 AM Those look great Capesams. Incredible Stuff! Skitterpop 12-06-2004, 09:50 AM No pics but the bass love em....slim swimmers :btu: Lovely ladies Capesams! Flaptail 12-07-2004, 05:57 AM A standard Mid sized Beachmaster Blue Mackerel Danny and a Gibbs Eely version. There are some Eelys by Beachmaster posted on the Some Plugs Link thread. Flaptail 12-07-2004, 06:04 AM Steelhead, your close but the head slope is too long. Shorten it up by half. Nice plug though. Did ya ever think of going jointed on that. I have an x-ray somewhere of a jointed Eely. Flaptail 12-07-2004, 06:11 AM Beachmaster and Mr. Pogie jointed Eely type Danny. steelhead 12-07-2004, 06:47 AM Flaptail, You read my mind. I may try one like that this AM before I have to sit down and get to work :-) You're right about the proportion. In hindsight, I think I started with stock that was too small a diamter. That x-ray would be interesting to see... steelhead 12-07-2004, 08:02 AM Here's a "quick one" I did as a second try. Got to bet a band saw and/or a belt sander. Doing the flat face on top with a file bites... Angle may be too flat and not sure about the lip. This is an NJT #1 Lefty. Flaptail 12-07-2004, 08:21 AM Still way to much on the slope. For a look at some flat faced Eelys by Beachmaster go to page 41 on the Some Plugs thread link.:D steelhead 12-07-2004, 08:57 AM Did a quick look on page 41. Didn't seeanything. Got to get to work, will look later today. Got toprint that who thread sometime. Slope too flat and long? Flaptail 12-07-2004, 09:01 AM The Eelys are in packages and are yellow/silver/white, one small and one large. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
