MAC 12-07-2004, 10:50 AM Bigger is better in the bandsaw dept though if you have the room. Smaller machines eat up blades quicker. I have a small Delta and am looking to upgrade. Striperknight 12-07-2004, 11:56 AM Whats the cost of a blade?. crashfromamesbury 12-07-2004, 01:07 PM in the woodcraft catalog they price their custom bandsaw blades at .29c per inch.. its more than standard blades.. but not that expensive.. mikecc 12-07-2004, 01:30 PM I got the same machine. It's ok use it a lot for 3/4-1.5" stock has not failed me yet. I also got 6 blades when wood workers went out for $6.00 each. Fishpart 12-07-2004, 01:54 PM You may be able to install a spacer in the frame to get the extra inch you need to use a standard blade. They make a spacer kit to increase the size of a Delta or Jet for people saw a lot of tall stuff but do not need the space between the blade and the frame. crashfromamesbury 12-07-2004, 09:01 PM depending on who manufactured teh saw for www you might be able to get a riser block.. but i'd have the blades made.. they end up being about 26$ each.. maybe save more in bulk backcast 12-08-2004, 09:19 PM woodworkers supply has the 92 1/2 blades for 12.99 vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
