View Full Version : Winter project Dannys
cheferson 12-07-2004, 12:02 PM Im going stir crazy with no fishing and being unemployed. The family wants to get me something to keep me busy for the winter. How much of an investment would i need to finish 24 dannys from Habs? Also should i stick with cans or get an airbrush? Any thing else you guys can throw at me would be appreciated!
Thanks

a drill and bits
spray paint is fine(been using it for years)

RIROCKHOUND 12-07-2004, 12:13 PM A job :D:D:D :smash:
j/k
With todays economy jobs are scarce..
As far as slips list, it looks pretty good... depends on how fancy you want to get....
tlapinski 12-07-2004, 01:16 PM you could even go with long screw eyes and skip the epoxy coat if you want to keep the price down. i was thinking of doing that myself. i have a bunch of atom junior lips i was going to throw on the bodies. you could even skip the paint and just slap a nice eelskin overcoat on it.
spence 12-07-2004, 01:37 PM A small package of Envirotex doesn't cost much. Won't take more than a few ounces to do 24 danny's...

Slipknot 12-07-2004, 01:52 PM I was gonna mention screw eyes, but you better put them in with epoxy(cedar is soft). Epoxy packs with the 2 tubes are cheap. The screw eyes would also be easier for you to drill since thru drilling danny bodies may result in a few ut-oh's with you being a novice.
skins=:btu:
cheferson 12-07-2004, 02:18 PM How hard is it drill them out? Any techniques that make it easier? ANyone got any links on the site that have pix or how to?
