View Full Version : Christmas ornament?
Biteme 12-08-2004, 09:33 PM After harassing the schoolies all weekend long we thought we would try the night time bite. My first December keeper, I know only 31'', but it's December. Mrstriper looked over when I hooked up and said "Is that your drag?" I borrowed my sons fresh water rod so it was a great fight. Maybe the fall run has just started? My wife won't let me hang it on the tree, go figure.
mrstriper 12-08-2004, 09:40 PM I'll get one...what time do we eat tomorrow!!!

fisherman jim 12-09-2004, 10:23 PM Hey Biteme,,, you should have let it go to live longer and get bigger,,, much bigger,,, nothing to write home about
Skitterpop 12-09-2004, 10:34 PM
mrstriper 12-09-2004, 11:10 PM hey bite...considering that we put in literally hundreds of hours and only took two fish home...between us... a few filets in december help take the edge of winter off...

Last Sat. and Sun Mrstriper and I let go over 100 fish!! I have only kept three all year. If you send me your phone # I'll call ya next time to see if it's O.K. to keep the next one!!
:smash:
mrstriper 12-10-2004, 07:34 AM The point is that we , in general, let everything go...and that this was not a thread intended for someone to strike a discussion about the morality of keeping fish to eat...I think it was awesome that we were able to find KEEPER size bass in Dec....If someone wants to b@tch or comment about taking fish home, they should start a new thread.
It is awesome you got a keeper... good for you :D
Biteme 12-10-2004, 03:43 PM Oh ya I forgot, on my way home I ran over a family of piping plovers and two baby seals.......

Hey... Nice December Bass, enjoy it, and good for you out there catching :kewl:
No matter how big a fish, it seems, someone is never too busy to tell ya, ya shoulda put it back..... and it don't matter how many you put back before it...... anyway, thats a good "eatin" size, for shore.
bassmaster 12-10-2004, 05:59 PM Man You guys from the cape got a bad altitude
Backbeach Jake 12-10-2004, 06:06 PM Congrats on the fish, I'm as jealous as I can be!
Roseneath 12-10-2004, 09:51 PM Awesome fish. I love the Chirstmas Tree in the background...
