As some of you know , Don Michaud formerly of Weekapaug B+T and now with his own shop in Stnington (one of our Four Leg Host Shops) is very sick and running up some Dr bills. Eventually John R is going to run a Raffle for him but I have time to build now (not in China , korea , mexico etc for a while) so I want to auction off a rod for his benefit now.

The entire purchase price of the rod will go to Don. I will not take out any money for the parts , etc.


The rod is a Sabre/PacBay 967. I will custom make it for the high bidder as a spinner or a casting rod. Its a great all around rod. It casts 1 to 3 OZ. I use mine from the shore and I especially like it for casting from a boat towards shore. I have landed many fish over 30 pounds with my rod.

The rod will be made with Fuji hardloy guides , a fuji reel seat and a Fuji SiC tip. It will be a basic rod , no fancy wraps as i just don't have time right now. This rod would typically retail for $150 as a custom rod.It'll be a nice Christmas present!!!
