What do you use to anchor the hooks to your plugs?
View Full Version : Hooks jayguertin 10-18-2001, 08:37 PM What do you use to anchor the hooks to your plugs? jenty 10-18-2001, 08:58 PM It really depends how you make your plug. If you through wire the plug, the wire goes through a swivel to the back. You can either attach it directly to the swivel, or use an o ring to attach it. The second is if you use eyehooks on your plugs. If you use the eyehooks, you can either attach it directly to the eyehook or again use and o ring to attach it. Hope this helps. bassmaster 10-18-2001, 09:29 PM you can pin it to, drill hole set swivel dril hole through side of plug pin it with stainless, and fill with apoxy Tattoo 10-19-2001, 05:21 AM You can also use screw eyes, try to find the 1 1/4 inch long ones, and epoxy them in. Not a bad choice if you don't have access to a drill press. jayguertin 10-19-2001, 07:52 AM How do you through wire a plug? I have acess to a drill press. Tattoo 10-19-2001, 01:15 PM Drill hole trough the plug, stick wire in one hole and out the other. Sounds easier than it is. jayguertin 10-22-2001, 12:15 PM Is there a way to attach a middle hook to the wire, or is the wire only for the back hook? Tattoo 10-22-2001, 12:47 PM The wire should go through a swivel. On the end of the swivel, use a split ring to attach the hook. Got Stripers 10-22-2001, 02:11 PM Although I don't use many plugs, those heavy duty O-rings I got from SOL aren't ever going to need replacing. Some are really too heavy for what I do. Got Rubba...who needs plugs anyway :). jayguertin 10-22-2001, 02:42 PM Ok thanks alot. bassmaster 10-22-2001, 05:25 PM Im a freak I got rubba and wood, hay wait I know Ill mix em vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
