View Full Version : Felt Good To Bend A Rod
Canalman 12-15-2004, 04:27 PM Well... Sorry Eben, but Dave (Fishaholic18) and I sniffed out your spot :D. But never fear... your secret is safe with us. I mean that, I have no intentions of burning your spot... I'm not even sure I could get there again anyway :D. Here are some pics with the evidence blurred out to protect the innocent and such. Really made my week though.
reelecstasy 12-15-2004, 04:28 PM Attaboy CM...nice winter stripes:kewl:
Canalman 12-15-2004, 04:29 PM here's another shot.. these pics were taken with Daves camera phone so they do exhibit a certain measure of suck. We had a blast 14 fish between us.
goosefish 12-15-2004, 04:35 PM Me know where them tracks go. Good fishing.
Side note: took a 10" tomcod on Monday.
RIROCKHOUND 12-15-2004, 05:04 PM John tomcod inside the pond?
got the message.. safe trip.....
fishaholic18 12-15-2004, 05:09 PM Dave, remember the goal...A bass every month.
We'll have to break out our mittens.:laughs:

Got Stripers 12-15-2004, 09:49 PM Congrats, a bass a month is a very realistic goal, one I've maintained since I first started fishing the Thames so many years back. Last year was close, but usually the ice doesn't keep us out for an entire month.
Canalman 12-15-2004, 09:53 PM Eben... I still consider that YOUR spot :)... perhaps you'll give me a chance to show you one of MY spots :D
-Dave

We were both using Batson SW1088's. The 1087 would have been better for the light stuff we were throwing, but we managed.
JHABS 12-15-2004, 10:23 PM Nice....................

rhodyflyguy 12-18-2004, 05:05 PM custom schoolie rod?
rhodyflyguy 12-18-2004, 05:07 PM oh, and i'll also include one of my spot for you.
Canalman 12-18-2004, 05:32 PM :D Ya hit 'em again eh Dave :)
- Flyrodguy - ya gotta put your time in or... as was our case... use a ridiculous process of elimination to rob someones spot :D. Since it is not ours, we can't give it up. There are lots of other spots that give up fish all winter. Read your back issues of OTW and the fisherman and you'll see that there are quite a few known spots.
