View Full Version : Xmass week stripers!!!!!!!!!!
GBOUTDOORS 12-20-2004, 08:23 AM Thanks to Bob again for some good times and great fishing!!! We fished Sunday for about four hours of Xmass bass bliss. Don,t know how many we caught but at times one on every cast must have put the total up near 100:D Now if the ice will just stay out maybe we can get some Christmas day bass :eek: how about some New Years day bass.

Got Stripers 12-20-2004, 10:33 PM It was a great day, but then again every day I'm out on the water is a great day, but catching sure helps; especially when it's December.
Backbeach Jake 12-20-2004, 11:38 PM Man, I could use a grin like that 'bout now!:D
Moses 12-21-2004, 12:47 AM Wow, looks like you two had a great day. I'm jealous......
Rappin Mikey 12-21-2004, 11:30 AM GS, you still thinking about organizing a hold-over trip this winter for some of the guys on the board? I would love to get in on one of those!!!!
Got Stripers 12-21-2004, 08:42 PM The Thames trip is easily put together assuming;
1. Enough boaters can trailer down.
2. Freshwater licenses are available (Fish Connection can advise) and people don't have a problem with that.
3. Weather and tides can be worked out ahead, yeah tides can but weather and harbor ice will always be a wild card.
4. Earlier (now) or later (End Feb) will usually guarantee you more consistant fishing and likely no ice to deal with.
I volunteer my boat for the day, maybe we need to see if other boaters are interested. I can shuttle numerous guys/gals out for a few hours and then they can still try their luck from shore, but it would be better with more boats.
I'm hitting them hard over the holidays, but I have to start on an order for Sandwich Bait & Tackle too, as they are going to start stocking this year. Hey BM, I left you a special surprise with Chris, did you get by?
Tight lines.
Wiperboy 12-21-2004, 10:01 PM Now I'm jealous. I only have the hard stuff nearby.:(
