I went into Lowes today to buy some painting supplies for the wife. I walked out with said painting supplies and another drill press.
They had 2 brands of drill presses and 2 brands of band saws on sale for $87.00 plus a sign said they would take an additional 20% off at the register.

They had a Delta 8" Drill press and 9" Band saw and a GMC 10" press and 9" band saw.

I bought the GMC press. It looked rugged and came with a 30 day money back and a 2 year warranty. It also has a Laser light system which puts an X on the work piece.

The GMC band saw looked rugged as well and came standard with a quick release fence.

The sale runs thru Dec. 21

the gmc is a good little machine.. far better than the ryobi.. i was looking at one of their contractor saws a while back.. not bad for the price.. and for those prices and 20% off how can you go wrong..

shot my tool budget for the year.. but i may end up with one of those drillpresses eventually..

If your spraying stuff with a high solvent content or there are alot of flamable vapors in your shop be careful using the HVAC motor for exhaust. There are concieled motors specifically designed for areas where a spark might cause an explosion. Exhausting waterbased stuff shouldn't be a problem with one though. Just dont want to see anyone go BOOM :)
