Nebe 12-22-2004, 10:48 AM I have a carbatech... its a little bit more $$ but it kicks ass!!! ChrisH 12-22-2004, 11:26 AM I have the Jet and love it, the 1/2 HP motor is perfect for plug building...it is a very SOLID tool. Motor Fish 12-22-2004, 02:51 PM I also have the Jet and Love it. Haven't used anything else so I'm not sure how it compares to the grizzly. partsjay 12-22-2004, 03:01 PM I bought a grizzly, and I am very happy with it. They have good deals and fast shipping. Jigman 12-22-2004, 04:56 PM I started with the grizzly 8690 mini lathe. Picked up the Jet Mini lathe last year. Both are good for plug building. Jet seems more sturdy and runs smoother, though is more expensive. Either one would be good for plugs. Jigman rhodyflyguy 12-22-2004, 05:52 PM thanks a bunch guys. hopefully will order a jet soon, unless i buy a rod blank, than i'll get the grizzly.
