Veritek has agreed in terms to a 4 year 40 million dollar deal with the Sox!:happy: That is, in my opinion, the most important signing they needed to make this off season...I am glad they got it done!:D

no no-trade, but they used very creative writing in contract,ie: big $$ for trade. BF- i would'nt look good in that jersey:( go patriots!!!

I think he is the most over rated player on the team. slow bat,and just an average defense.:confused:

He doesn't burn it up at the plate (when he is hitting;) ) but he is a proven team leader and knows how to handle a pitching staff...and when he gets hot at the plate look out. He is steady with his average...about .280 I think and solid defensively....definitely not a liability!;) 20-25 homers don't hurt much either...BigCat...name me any better catching prospects in free agency during the off season we could replace him with, also name me any better catchers?:huh:

Tek signing is huge but I am still worried about the Yankees starting rotation compared to the Sox. :crying:

seems like everybodys' staff has a health issue. if our staff is all healthy, i'd put them against anyones'. watch out for this guy wade miller- if he comes around he can be a very good picther.

I agree Bigfish, this is the best off season move so far. He's a switch hitter and a team leader, and all his pitchers say he the best at calling a game.

He was named captain also,
only 3rd in team history.

Just saw the press conference, he seemed really humbled.
