Who was up at crack of dawn with their small children for Christmas? Mine are all grown and I get to sleep in. But I sure miss the dawn raid on the Christmas tree.

Kids are now 15 and 16. They are both still sleeping and getting out of bed is not on their radar screen. Got up at 7 and opened gifts with the dog.
Hey I could have gotten some fishin in this morning....
Merry Christmas everyone.

The "Santa Came!!!" call was at 4:40am - Thats two hours better than last year. :laughs:

They say kids are your parents revenge. I couldn't agree more, but it's a good torture.

I was scared this morning, woke up at 6:00 am, and no opened presents, that's roughly a hour and a half later than normal.

For years my Daughter thought that she was Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ. Every year I bought her some red shoes and she's weare them out. She's almost 25 now. My Son would invariably choose the hardest to assemble toy on the planet. I have a 4 hour home movie of me in a death match with a GI Joe Mobile Command Center. Great days.

Hey Mike, Did you know that one of those trains is the "City of Truro"? Little kids and Christmas is the best! No Grandkids yet, but watching the kids in the neighborhood is priceless!!!

2 kids, one will be 19 next week, other will be 14 in Feb.
6 AM, down the stairs.... latest yet, but we were up till well after midnight last night.... my wife and I spoil the hell out of them at Christmas, always have..... my son and I drove home from my wifes Mom's tonight, before we left, (wife and daughter staying a couple of days), she gave me the biggest hug, said nothing but gave me a look I'll never forget, had a little tear in her eye..... my son slept almost all the way home, got a call from his girl, and one of his bud's just before we got in around 8 PM... asked if it was OK if he went to late movie with them.... said he'd stay home if I wanted..... that got me... I would have never, at that age said that to my father.... I guess I didn't "spoil" them too bad....

Fred, yes, we are a Fortunate Bunch.

Dave, thanks :o , wont say I'm doing everything right, just trying to.

Got to give credit to the missus, she has sacrificed tons for those two, (and me too).

Getting back to what Fred said, Yes... and I'm counting my blessings.

Got the fire going, dog curled up around my ankles, way too full belly, ( my mother-in-law spoils me way too much), Life is Good!
