Well I wouldn't completly give up on the harbor just yet. Last week we still caught schoolie bass and Baitcaster caught a 9 lb blue. Saturday we caught over a dozen bass to 25 inches and I got a 9 lb 10 oz bluefish up in the reserve channel. On Monday we had beautiful weather. Headed to the reserve channel only to be kicked out by the police as there were criuse ship there and nobody is allowed in there when the ships are in. So we did some jiggin and trolling to no avail in the early AM. Talked to a friend of ours on the radio and he said he was slamming the cod over by Nahant. So off we went, and slam them we did. We caught over 35 keeper cod in 2 hours, we kept our limit, they averaged between 7 and 10 lbs and headed inside to do a little more bass fishing. Well with the amount of fish we had to go home and clean and the fact that at 4:30 it was slack high tide we dicided to call it a day.

But there are still fish to be had out there. We heard of a guy fishing off of Hardings ledge that afternoon that caught a 38 inch bass on live mackerel that he jigged up. So don't give up to early.

If weather permits we will be going out again this week and hopefully hook up. I am not ready to put down the rod just yet as I know there will be cow's heading south thruout the next several weeks.
