Canal Rat,

I do not know how to give you the propper applause you deserve. All I can say is dam good job.

As hard as it is, be grateful that you have done this now, and stick with it.

I am 38 and five days ago I was put on a diet that will drastically change my life. I am starting at 303 pounds.

if any of you want to join TOPS go to www.tops.org and search for a chapter near you. i go to the tops chapter in carver its $20 to join and $5 a month. i am keeping it off very well i lift weights every other day this also helps me with the task of hauling those 50lbers up the rocks in the spring

thank you all for your support:)

Way to go!!! I lost 80 lbs over a year ago, losing that much weight is a life changing event. The hardest part is still ahead. Force yourself to keep those good habits you developed and work on keeping it off. Congrats Again.

that's incredible c.r., congrats. i'd like to lose "only" 20 lbs. but i keep putting off starting because i know how difficult that is going to be. on a side note, did you know ryan silvia? he was the 17 year old from plymouth who was killed in a car accident on dec. 5. he is my brother. if you knew him, i'd love to fish with you. heck, if you didn't know him, i'll fish with you anyway. i don't really like fishing alone. congrats again.

c.r., when you get your permit please be careful at all times. i don't want to hear of another family that has to go through what we are going through. the pain at times is unbearable. he was my little brother and i can't shake the recurring thought that i didn't do enough with him and for him. i miss him dearly. o.k. that's enough, my keyboard is getting wet. i can't wait for the opportunity to bend a rod with you. keep in touch and please be safe.

Congrads buddy, as I am sure you know it is about a change of life..not just a carrot stick vs. the twix bar... I dropped 45# this past year, no "diet" or any of that..Just better choices, and the gym 5 times a week...I am sure you feel a great deal of pride, as you should...:claps: :claps: :claps:
