Was doing some research online last night. It seems the Garmin GPS map 76 is the one I want. It has all the features I need and is Waas compatible. Basspro has it for around 350 smackers.

All in all 350 smackers is only 50 more than the gpsmap12 and this one is waas compatible, I believe it also has navigational aids for those of you with a boat. It is supposed to have an accuracy +/- 3meters.

Did you look at Amazon? Yes, they do sell GPS untis. Price is pretty good.
