For what it's worth, if anyone has some time on their hands and wants to go on a road trip... I just spoke to a friend of mine who has been fishing from Va. Beach to Oregon inlet and has been brutalizing the bass on the beach. He described a scene with more Gannets than he's ever seen diving like a tornado into schools of fish smashing in bunkers and load and shoot action until they were sick of catching them. Most of the fish were 10-15 lb. fish but they were catching some cows mixed in with them and on Thursday last week caught a 48 pound fish. I know you guys are all suffering withdrawals up there and thought you might like to know that someone is still doing it. Fourteen hours from the Cape +/- and your in the thick of it! Of course the fishing here in Jupiter is another story... Stay warm all-
G.L.

If I want to freeze my ass off and catch stripers I don't need a road trip and as much as I'd like to chase bass right now, how about Jacks & Permit down in Jupiter? Keep hearing about it! :D

Just talked to another guy fishing out of Oregon Inlet this morning who had a catch of fish up to 59lbs. including another 50 and two in the forties! Maybe the COLD weather isn't so bad after all. Hey, you'd stand out in it to catch Pickerel at Sunset Lake through the ice? Butch up and jump in your trucks.. their waiting for you!!
