View Full Version : Minimize tax liability ThrowingTimber 12-29-2004, 12:22 PM ? for the finance guys, minimize tax liability IRA or 401k? MakoMike 12-29-2004, 12:23 PM TT, 401k, its a no brainer if your employer matches and even if they don't the limits are higher. fishweewee 12-29-2004, 12:25 PM I'd listen to Mike, he knows his tax $hit cold. ThrowingTimber 12-29-2004, 12:27 PM thanks Mike, :D Gloucester2 12-29-2004, 01:19 PM Both. Maybe when I retire I'll start doing indivdual taxes again. :smash: ThrowingTimber 12-29-2004, 03:04 PM I love this place, ok both wins:D mrmacey 12-29-2004, 03:05 PM Im on my way to be a fortune 500 company 300% growth in 1 year come on thats a good track record so far! Im looking for a partner who will bring enough capital to the table to buy a new h2 Hummer it will move anyone want to be an owner instead of an employee let me know. mrmacey 12-29-2004, 03:12 PM did you see that wter stock they do water filtration think its going to move with all that stuff overseas going on fishweewee 12-29-2004, 04:26 PM I dunno Mike. I used to cover the environmental stocks over at Douche Bank :hihi: back in the good 'ole days, and the big player in the industrial and residential segments was (still is) U.S. Filter/Culligan, which was acquired by some huge French conglomerate. USF/CUL is a huge company (billions in revenue) and feeds the crumbs to smaller players like Osmonics and Ionics, who in turn piss on WTER. WTER is a pimple on the ass of a very large elephant, and its market capitalization reflects that. It might ride favorable industry trends (aging POTW infrastructure, increasing industrial demand for clean water). But, a rising tide lifts all boats in the sector. In the long run, it won't be able to compete with the larger players. It's also a penny stock, easy to manipulate, I'd steer clear unless I knew more about the product/company/management or if it could be a potential takeover target. MakoMike 12-29-2004, 04:32 PM Ben, I thought U.S. Filter was aquired years ago by ARCO? Many moons ago I used to work for them when they were an independent company. fishweewee 12-29-2004, 05:31 PM u worked for #^&#^&#^&#^& Heckmann? mrmacey 12-29-2004, 06:14 PM up 6 cents today back when we talked it was 2-5 cents Gloucester2 12-30-2004, 10:25 AM USF/CUL is a huge company (billions in revenue) and feeds the crumbs to smaller players like Osmonics and Ionics, who in turn piss on WTER.
