... And the Number 1 thing I hate about Quonny Breachways is:


1. All Lines Tanglin' when LANDING A DECENT FISH!!!




Tonight or tomorrow I'll due to top ten things I love about it ;)

How about being 15 deep and only getting to drift once every hour!

And then there is always....hey shut that light off

then of course....there is um excuse me, can you get out of the way so I can get to the back of them damn line!

You can add C-Town Breachway in there as well, I've seen it all there. The snottier the better - keeps @ least a few people away. John, I have a nice # 11

#11 I love it when you have a nice striper on and you gotta walk down 20 feet or rock to get your fish only to have her break off right in front of you on the rocks.

Ice - I usally get those fish but on the ones I've lost, more than half the time I've had somebody's line wrapped aroung my line or worse - the tip. Happened last night, I probably could have prevented it - the guy was nice and trying to help but it's just one of those things that happens there.

I had a rod break off the last 8 inches before in the confusion surrounding lines tangled while landing a fish....

should have cut his line.

I wouldn't think its a good idea to cut anyone's but your own line out there. You want to fish there now , you got to be able to deal with the crowded conditions or stay home. There are good times to go there earlier in the season. Sometimes on a lucky night you can find yourself alone or maybe 1 or 2 other guys.


Love hate things about Quonny.

1) Love the perfect rock down on corner to cast from . Hate going up and down the end to get to it if rotating.


2)Love the darkness. Hate how scary that can be when ithe siurf is pounding out there.


3)Love the straight line of sight view from block Island to Montauk. Hate the fact that the current could wash you away to Block Island or Montauk. :)

4)Love the fact the Breachway is public property. Hate cutting through someones yard to get there.

5)Love the pond , its easy to get to and you can fish it in any weather. Hate the crowds there at the last parking area some days.

6)Love fishing the channel. Hate getting snagged on the other side casting over the channel (dumb $hit).

7)Love Pluigman poppers. Hate the sales pitch. :)

8)Love the stars at night out there. Ten times more than you see around most places. Hate stumbling on the wall cause I'm looking at the stars.

9)Love fishing the area in front of the houses to the east of the breachway. Hate not owning one of them.

10)Love catching fish almost any time of the season in the pond or out on the end. Hate going out to the end and getting skunked.

Count me out. I will never fish a "rotation" that is frigg'n insane. Any time you have to line up to fish, leave, it ain't worth it even if fish are stacked up thick
