I was searching through ebay for a sustain when I saw this real. On ebay it says it is made only in Japan specifically for surf fishing. It looks a little like a nautil and has a long cast spool. I am going to do a little more research but for 175$ I might get one and give it a shot. Anyone else hear anything about these reals or have one?

This website has a bunch of Japanese reels that are very interesting.

I believe shimano releases these souped up versions in Asia first before mass producing them for the US. I bought a shimano "jigger" a couple of years ago. It is a souped up trinidad and has a couple other features not offered on the US version. Only drawback is the directions are in Japanese.
