Whatcha up to this weekend?

Well we have the MDA Tourney going on out of the Andrea Hotel & Weekapaug B&T. Many of us will be fishing it and if you happen to score and keep a nice fish in Rhody, run it by Weekapaug and tell them your on the Striped-Bass.com team ;) :D ...

I've had a dozen requests to go out to Naps tonight & tomorrow - maybe tomorrow night but I'm not sure - the back is hurting  plus the Clammer has an aversion to walking more than 50 feet ... Mike & Ed - we gots to talk...

This will probably be my last big weekend long push but I'll still get out occasionally...

What are you up to this weekend?

Fishing Saturday Night as long as I don't have to carry Clammer more than 50 feet ;). John, if we take him by boat and get out to fish is it still surf fishing in the pure sense??

Works for me - ask him if he wants to put in in Westerly and we'll just nudge up to the back side of Naps and fish the shore ;) :D :D

Hey John... another great week by the boards here. Britta has the croup (a nasty respiratory bug) and Karen's put in about 70 hours at work this week. Last weekend's wedding was a f'n nightmare... a 10 hour drive away nightmare. Hope things are calmer on your front.

Anyway, I definitely want to get out together before the fish vacate.

I've been home with the kid for a couple days, so I haven't been online... What are you guys doing this weekend? I know you have the MDA tourny, but do you have a big group going?

I kinda doubt I'll get out this weekend as I'm pretty fried, but maybe shoot me some times in case I'm able make it.

Otherwise, let me know if you might get out next weekend and I'll try to make it down, barring some other crisis. Good luck this weekend if I don't see you.

I think this dad needs a freakin' "time out"

Looks like I'm putting the Striper gear away. A freshwater tournie for me Sunday then bow-hunting after that next week, had a fun season guys and looking forward to making plugs at Slips.

Greg - just call me on the cell 617-512-2541 if you have the slightest chance of getting out (after you put new line on your reel :p )... Next weekend is looking thin for me as "Thebetterhalf" will undoubtably have me on a short leash (snicker, snicker - OWWW - Honey - I'm just kiddin')... Seriously - I'm going to spend time with them. Maybe if you convince your wife and daughter to come down for a little while we can sneak out but that's up to the wives' club....

CRATT - Say it ain't so, well, you do have deer & lil bass...

No kidding about the line... I haven't fished for large at all this fall. Its been a weird season, although I've fished alot, I haven't necessarily done what I wanted, when I wanted.

If I'd have put in the time over the past month that I spend in August, I'd probably have some good stories and a bunch of big fish. I just haven't been able to travel for this reason or that reason.

If it sounds like complaining, it really isn't... I've fished plenty locally and had good light tackle action... BUT... I get a bit jealous when I read reports of big fish. There's something about getting that first glimpse of good fish in the surf... gives me the chills.

Well, fishing or not, we'll see ya soon... I think someone's numero uno b-day is comin' up pretty quick.

I'm painting all weekend, no fishing :(, but it looks to warm up again next week, so maybe a mid-late week trip down to the Thames. Got to get started on the Honey Do's and no time like the present and the weather prediction didn't hurt :).

I am up in the air. I am going shopping tommorow for some gear for my New Hampshire deer hunting trip. I plan on stopping in to meet Saltydog also if time permits, want to check out his shop. Then maybe I might swing down to Rhody sat night. Sunday some shooting.

Very quiet here on north shore. Was 38 degrees casting a few this morning, and the breeze wasn't even built up yet. Hearing about fish still around up in Manchester, but the birds are working outta casting range. Good sized mackeral are around though.
Might have had it for this year. Made a bad decision to play in a charity intramural "touch" football game against UNH frats for graduating(?) classes in the 70's. Got absolutely drilled from blindside while throwing. Guy who pancaked me had to have been 250 lbs. Left shoulder is NOT working today. Gotta learn to cast from the right side if I'm going to fish any time soon. Doctor tmw.....
Any thoughts on having the plug turning workshop in a larger hall, like a veterans' or sumpthin'? So that more could attend?
