I talked to a guy at the World Trade Center in-water boat show in Boston. The guy was from Steve's Marine in Warren, RI.

The guy was cool, I'm looking at a couple of their boats that I might buy, maybe in the spring. Nothing concrete.

I'm not really close to a decision, but before I see this guy again and start to get more serious about the details, I wanted to see if anyone out there had some experience with these guys... good or bad?

Word of mouth is the best advertising.

I really appreciate any input anyone might have... thanks.

I posted this friday and I'm not sure how many folks log in from home, so I wanted to get this to the fore-front on more time during the work week.

Any of you Rhode Islanders know these guys.

Thanks and sorry for being a pain.

i've been to the place to pick up some parts, i'd say2 or three years back. seems to have a nice place but i can't help you on his business ethics. he is still in business,(good sign) perhaps you may wanna check the better business bureau.

Well, the one from them I'm looking at is the Triumph 190 CC bay. There was a write up in Saltwater Sportsman a few months back and I've checked it out quite a bit. I really like it.

They also have a 17' CC which I also really like and I may lean towards because it would also serve as a nice freshwater bass boat, while still handling most days on the harbor. Plus, it will be nice to trailer and it would store perfectly in my garage.

I've also looked at 17-19' versions of the maritime skiff, aquasport, pro-line and the key largo. And I gotta couple of chances to fish out of Got Striper's Lund and my uncle's whaler.

Unfortunately, my master plan was knocked outta whack when my wife was recently in nasty car accident. It forced us to buy a new car before I had all my ducks lined up... so we'll see what happens.

Thanks for your info and your interest.
