Wish I'd thought of that for art class, all I carved was a rabbit and my finger. Your pollack shows promise already.

Nice.... I was at lowes the othe day an I saw a dremel knock off tool. They had pic's with all these cool carvings Decoys an birds an fish all kinds of stuff looked really cool u could see alot of detail..they used these little ball cutters I mean little with 1/16 an smaller heads looked like somethig u could use...I bett a finishing nail in a dremel would make a fine cutter.Do the scales an all.practice on some other scraps first an darw it all in good with pencil like u got.Looks like fun I like to see ur work in the stage of progress. If ur gonna do something do it right.I heard that a million times as a Kid....Good luck.

Thats a cool project. You have to have a steady hand to use the dremel to carve with.

Thats a neat project. Keep us posted on your progress. I carved a whale out of plaster/ceramic? back in high school. Took MANY hours and then i broke the tail off.
This sounds like a lot more fun. Basswood is great carving wood.

Nice job, Carving is a great winter hobby. I’m still working on one myself, like to see the finished fish.

John that is amazing. Did you create the glass or just the frame. I have always wanted something like this to take up a window in my house.
