Port O' Call at 7:30pm

I have not seen it yet and I have no idea what the spin is but you might see a few familar faces....
http://www.portocalltv.com/

Also, my wife made me watch Rachael Ray do MV on $40 bucks a day... It was pretty interesting since you can generally drop that on cocktails alone out here.... She even went fishing! That was really sad. She went scup fishing on a charter boat and didn't catch anything! How is this possible? (the bottom is paved with scup all summer long)....I am going to send her an email and invite her on a real fishing trip.

I also saw that show. Not much of a charter if you can't even catch a scup.Heck I've snagged scup while plugging for bass.

Strange - NESN on cox in RI is showing college hockey from 7 - 9:30- "Quinnipiac at Maine"

However I did see George Poveremo World of SW fishing - showed striper fishing in northern nj - chunking bunker. They had some pretty good fish on.

what a b.u.s.h. league network....Nesn has had some screwed up scheduling. Shows that are suppose to be on...never come on even though it shows it on the info banner.

Who knows.. Sunday is suppose to be their outdoor shows...

Rachael Ray is a complete hack in the kitchen, but she has a great smile. I give her credit for loosing a lot of weight as well, she used to be quite large.

She has a quirky way about her though...I like her.

I had sent an email to the editor of offshore mag, that basically heads up the port O' Call show (sort of like OTW and its show) and I got a very prompt reply (at 11:00pm) and while he is not persaonlly in charge of the show, he would get it to the right guy and said they would find out what happend and get back to me. While the show has been getting very positive feedback to date, he said there have been other complaints that it has not been airing in some areas due to technical difficulties (nesn) and this is a great concern to them. No matter, he said he will find out when that episode will air and I will pass on here.

Rachael Ray has a great smile, I agree and I view her more as a gen-X food critic and not a chef. She has a funky way about her that proably appeals to many young people and to me Charile moore is FAR more annoying. I can't believe FISHON is off the air and CM is still here....

Yeah but spence, I'm a guy who uses saltines as breadcrumbs to cook fish... she may not be gourmet, but she cooks better than Moi....

In theory, the "replay" of the broadcast is suppose to be tonight ay 6:00 and the show right before that is NE fishing. Lets see what happens tonight.

My email appears to have went up the chain of command I have gotten emails that indicate cages are rattling.

I was wondering what it was going to turn out like...they were here for more then a week, did both shore and boat trips and I know they had a lot of footage. I didn't seen monster fish caugh but I thought it was a good overview of the event and island and I really liked the interview with the guy and his wife that came from Rome (Italy) to fish it each year...***just for ALBIES!!!***
I hope the committee sees this fish as a significant part of the event now.

SquidKidsDad..there should be a repeat on the 14th at 6:00pm...your mileage may vary.

Rob,
There are 4 fish eligible to win the grand prizes- stripers, bluefish, bonito, and false albacore - in 2 categories, boat and shore. At the end there are 8 grand leaders who pick a key to open a lock. The 4 shore guys compete for the boat and the boat guys go for the truck. It's purely luck of the draw that the shore albie and boat bonito won the grand prizes this year.

A couple years ago the prize structure was changed to add a truck to the mix. Before that the boat was the only grand prize. Because it's assumed that boat guys have a boat and shore guys have a 4WD truck, the Derby committee decided to award the grand prizes to the opposite category. I think it makes sense, but a lot of people don't agree with it.

Ya really can't knock Racheal Ray all that much. I read that she's completely self taught, no culinary schooling and now she's got what, three different shows on Food Network? That's not too shabby.

You guys are cruel! come on, she's the girl next door type, 100% real and cute as a button imo. Have you seen the photo spread she did for FHM magazine. Yes I know, good lighting and make-up and all, but I still dig her. BTW, she recently got engaged to a rocker! I'd fish with her anytime.

nice pic and she is cute

But she is annoying, don't you think? The problem with a roll in the hay is, you have to listen to her before and after. Well at least before, after you could just leave.

She might not be coyote ugly, but coyote annoying might be a fitting description.
