That's some serious work there Flap! Steady hand to get that consistency freehand for sure. Whose eyes are they? Where will you fihs that one? Got some place in mind?

your doing some really nice work flap .. always wanted to try making a 1/16 inch lexan templet to do that effect .. my freehands sux ..

me Likey is that a old gibbs pattern.I seen the likes of it before like on his early poppers.

Once again, thanks. Those eye are as I mentioned before, Enrico Puglisi Fly Eyes. I have been haunting all the fly shops for them. I made a major score at the Orvis shop in Mashpee. They had put all thier stock in the 50% off bin. I bought it all. I now have hundreds of them in two sizes and just about every color. Tony that was what I was trying to achieve. BM how is my friend Tony C.? Anything interesting to say?:cool:

Flap - how do those NJTackle kits swim? it's a good idea, but the plug looked like it might not swim that great. :huh:

They swim good but don't count on it being a surface swimmer. Weighted as they recommend they go deep. That isn't a problem though cause there are many instances where that is very desirable. Casting into rips, outflows and especially here out on the outer cape beaches big surf.

Flap, Can you talk about that a bit? For example, at a particular beach I fish at, there seems to be particular times in the outgoing tide when the current is blasting thru a nice channel, that swimmers that get down deep, swung across the current seem to work. Most of my hits were at the end of the swing as the line began to "straighted out". I suspect that the plug began to come up a bit and take on a more active motion as it came around to fcae the current full on.
