Just built a spinner and I'm putting it through its paces. It's a Char-Broil motor from Homies. The sides were hacked out of some old scratched up plexiglass I had laying around. Seems like its working pretty good, sure beats flippin
Here she is spinning some 5in maple needles. Cant wait to throw these guys. The black over pearl white is my favorite but theres also some green/white, blue/white and wonderbreads on there.

Love that homegrown stuff. I'd never have the patience to build that. :laughs:

I use something very similar to that, just not as big...i can only do 6 at the most...i usually only do 4 at a time.
it looks like you're using rubber bands....does the plexiglass warp at all?
Great lookin' plugs :D

Very Nice.
I like the plexiglass idea with the holes.
Only suggestion might be 3 threaded steel rods for additional stability. They dont have to be at the perimeter , could be as little as 2"-3" from center. This would stiffen the wheel quite a bit and then you could really load up the outside.

Yep, rubber bands and paperclips for now. May upgrade to springs someday:) The plexi does flex a little bit but I wouldnt say it warps. The plexi is 1/4in think and pretty rigid. I do need to bend or cut down the spikes a little bit because it wants to push the plexi twards the center or at an angle. If you look real close you will see 2 %$%$%$%$ings, one on the inside edge of each wheel. I put them there to keep tension on the wheels. Drilling and taping the %$%$%$%$ings for set screws was the hardest part, took about 10 minutes to find the right size drill, tap and set screws. The rest went together in about 20 minutes. I did notice it helps to space the plugs out as Im putting them on or the tension really wants to skew the wheels.
LOL, aparently I cant say %$%$%$%$ings here so replace that with collars :smash:
