Ok , I think its time for us to go back to being a board about nice people who like to fish. Its what this board is about.

We are tiny in numbers (like 10 to 1) compared to the big boards but we get 30 people at a weekend gathering which is great for an internet fishing meet and huge when the number of board members is considered. . People who come to the gatherings come back again and again and new people join in. It has to be because we are nice people. Most of the guys are excellent fisherman and can catch fish on their own. They come cause its fun cause its nice people.

I'm thinking its time to drop the Patrick stuff all together. No posts or emails or reports from other boards etc. First of all , its boring after a while (a short while) . Secondly , he can't post so its not sporting. Thirdly (is that a word? :) ) that kind of ill will exspressed on the board creates an environment which is not optimum for nice people who like to fish.

So I think we should drop it .

The next thing I think we should do is remember that kids read the board. Things that you wouldn't talk about in front of kids shouldn't be posted about on the board. At the gatherings you see who's within ear shot and you judge what to say based on the audience. On the internet , you don't know who's reading what. You should assume that here we have wifes and kids and regular and environmental police and Coast Guard and somebodies mother checking in at any given time. Everybody gets clever and pushes things a little but lets keep it under control.

I know , I'm just a big Grump but those are my thoughts and I know you were just dying to hear it. :) So you can call me all kinds of bad names now but I WARN YOU if you call me Fatty or Porky I'll delete you post! :)

I'm in, enough said, back to fishing :). Who's doing what Saturday? Today was a tease and the fishing although fast, was filled with large ones. I've got a trolling motor to repair and then hopefully I'll be good to go on Saturday, what's the plan man?

If I can get out early enough this afternoon might take momma and the kids down to dig in the sand. Unfortunately if I take the rods I'll be sleeping with the fishes

Fishpart , bring the rods. Its prime time for blitzing fish down there. Afternoons can be great. You are going to kick yourself if a school of 20 pounders starts trying to beach themselves and you don't have a rod. Even your wife is going to say " You should have had a rod." :)

This is exactly the time of year for you to use you those black and white , high contrast teasers you tied.
