It always boggles my mind why some shops cringe if I bring them 6 pink lures fearing that they will collect dust, while other shops would take pink everything and anything.

Inquiring minds want to know whats the top colors of choice in your area.

Areas:

Cape Cod - Cape Side Only

Cape Cod Canal - Mainland Side and surrounding areas

RI - South County and the upper bay

MV - The Island

NY - Montauk

NY - Long Island

NY - Everywhere Else

CT - River fishing included

Include your area with your response so people can figure out what to bring when they go, and I can figure out what to paint. :)

A couple of years ago, the black and orange darter was responsible for some quality Stripers at Montauk. Yellow has always been big there as well with pencils, bottles and darters.

Mike--if there's a decent mullet run on LI during late August and September, you can sell all of the blue/white plugs you can make down here ;)

Brad couldn't give blue/white Hawgs away at the Canal. I sold every one he had down here out of my truck.

A periwinkle /pearl white swirl with a touch of mauve around the eye, would be nice I think.

Periwinkle and mauve?! You and your brother have been staring at my fly-tying materials too much lately... :D

And mauve is a grayish lavender I think, so it probably is effective out on the tip of the Cape.

S. RI, Day: White on white with white everywhere else.

S. RI, Night: Replace "white" with "black", above.

I've tried about every combo possible and always seem to go back to white and black to catch stuff.

Hey Tatoo, am I wrong thinking that white and black are for fish; other colors are for fishermen with credit cards????
