If I had to pick only one color, white would be it.

90 % of the fish I got last year were from a white popper.

On moonlit nights, white stands out in the surf/canal.
on dark or overcast nights, dark colors stand out better against the sandy bottom or the surface, with both conditions giving the fish a MORE visible target to attack.
That doesn't mean the it's always the case, but just my own opinion (from past experience).
I am open to other points of view.

What? Did I read that right? Doubting the power of white? Oh my God! Travesty! Blasphemy! White is the way, the power and the light! If not white then what is there? Would May be May? Would June be June? My God man, get on your knees and repent for thy Blasphemous way!:eek5: :err:  :fishslap:

White is right.

I'm no pro but I've always caught fish on plain white.

I have a bunch of small all white Creek Chubs that an oldtimer gave me some years back and I hammer fish on them in the spring.

A long time ago a old timer told me all colors are good as long as they are white or black. An it has been my basic belief since i have been fishin.I am really not a proponent of "hot colors"i can honestly say i have never been greatly outfished by a particular color wit what I have in my bag.I change up alot even when i'm catchin.i just like to give em all a workout.I think the person on the other end of the line controls matters more. Now i love to paint fancy patterns but i got as many if not more fish on a plain old blue eye white gibbs danny as all the other colors combined.well except for yellow in the fall.;)

NIB I agree with yah all the way. Colors are way too over-exxaggerated. Colors catch way more fisherman than fish. I do have some I like better and white is a number one choice, but I don't paint my jigs, they catch fine. Many of my plugs have bare spots and need a paint job!
