Not pearl... just white The Dad Fisherman 02-04-2005, 04:30 PM Actually the very 1st Striper I caught on wood was on a White Habs Needle spence 02-04-2005, 04:31 PM I only use white plugs between Memorial and Labor day :laughs: -spence BigFish 02-04-2005, 04:32 PM Wait till' Flaptail sees this thread! theSURF121 02-04-2005, 04:53 PM If I had to pick only one color, white would be it. Moose Nuckle 02-04-2005, 04:55 PM 90 % of the fish I got last year were from a white popper. chris L 02-04-2005, 05:13 PM white in the bright blue oyster 02-04-2005, 05:54 PM white gibbs pencil poppers treated me real good last season , but then agian boat fish don't count :D FishermanTim 02-04-2005, 06:55 PM On moonlit nights, white stands out in the surf/canal. on dark or overcast nights, dark colors stand out better against the sandy bottom or the surface, with both conditions giving the fish a MORE visible target to attack. That doesn't mean the it's always the case, but just my own opinion (from past experience). I am open to other points of view. Did I read that right? Doubting the power of white? Oh my God! Travesty! Blasphemy! White is the way, the power and the light! If not white then what is there? Would May be May? Would June be June? My God man, get on your knees and repent for thy Blasphemous way!:eek5: :err:  :fishslap: ThrowingTimber 02-04-2005, 09:56 PM :hidin: Ok I'll try it  The Dad Fisherman 02-04-2005, 11:38 PM Wow, Its like Young Skywalker was beat down by Yoda.. No! No different! Only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned. - Yoda basswipe 02-05-2005, 07:11 AM White is right. I'm no pro but I've always caught fish on plain white. I have a bunch of small all white Creek Chubs that an oldtimer gave me some years back and I hammer fish on them in the spring. NIB 02-05-2005, 08:56 AM A long time ago a old timer told me all colors are good as long as they are white or black. An it has been my basic belief since i have been fishin.I am really not a proponent of "hot colors"i can honestly say i have never been greatly outfished by a particular color wit what I have in my bag.I change up alot even when i'm catchin.i just like to give em all a workout.I think the person on the other end of the line controls matters more. Now i love to paint fancy patterns but i got as many if not more fish on a plain old blue eye white gibbs danny as all the other colors combined.well except for yellow in the fall.;) Canalratt1 02-06-2005, 12:08 PM NIB I agree with yah all the way. Colors are way too over-exxaggerated. Colors catch way more fisherman than fish. I do have some I like better and white is a number one choice, but I don't paint my jigs, they catch fine. Many of my plugs have bare spots and need a paint job! BigFish 02-06-2005, 12:20 PM Told ya!;) If I have heard or read Flap talking about how much he loves white once I have heard him a thousand times......especially at Larry's Beach!:D BigFish 02-06-2005, 12:34 PM My first night out with my own plugs....17 fish between 15-25 pounds before they straightened out the split ring can't be wrong!:D Sorry picture isn't that great!:( TheRattBoy 02-06-2005, 01:50 PM Guess I should start throwing my big white Hab's more...johnny BigFish 02-06-2005, 01:51 PM I had to start somewhere Ratt Boy!;) I promised John I would not go there anymore!:D TheRattBoy 02-06-2005, 01:56 PM Not bashing you Lar, why not go with something that has proven to catch, nice job.:) johnny Skitterpop 02-06-2005, 02:13 PM Most baitfish have a white tummy....sure with other hues mixed in but who knows how bass see... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
