View Full Version : ryobi fishdog13 02-10-2005, 04:31 PM who sells them. i think they might rival diawa:happy: basswipe 02-10-2005, 04:35 PM Been a long time since I've seen one.A Ryobi spinner was one of the first reels I had as a child after I graduated from spincast reels. As kid all my fishing stuff was bought at the Navy Exchange or K-Mart. mikecc 02-10-2005, 05:00 PM Berkley bought them out and shut them down years ago. Dont think they are made any longer. basswipe 02-10-2005, 05:03 PM The company exists for sure. They still manufacture low budget power tools. mikecc 02-10-2005, 05:04 PM Different division tlapinski 02-10-2005, 05:40 PM they make high end spinners for the asian market comparable to Saltigas. ugly as hell, though! looks like they were put together with a nail gun. Team Rock On 02-10-2005, 06:40 PM source for used ryobis.... http://japantackle.com/Limited_edition.htm Sea Dangles 02-10-2005, 06:58 PM type ryobi into ebay. they are overseas and it looks like there is one high end model BernOC 02-10-2005, 07:19 PM hottackle has em...high to low end models. I suppose service and repairs might be an issue over here. Mike P 02-10-2005, 08:12 PM Low end reels that you can't get parts for---sounds like a great idea  If you really want to fish with a POS reel, at least get a Tica. The company is very good about replacing them when they break. Order a spare handle or two when you first get the reel and carry a spare in your bag. I got a 4500 Camry for my son. He bent the handle the second time he used it. fishdog13 02-15-2005, 06:22 PM thanks  vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
