I took a ride to the Worcester show today with Uncle Zeke and ran into the Crazy One with Mike Laptew at the Crocodile Bay Lodge booth -

Got to talk to Alberto for a while and catch up and he showed me something he had just received in the mail - his official silver embossed certificate and letter of award from the IGFA recognizing his 45 lb. striped bass taken on 8 lb. test - from shore - as a new World Record! And we also got the full 1st hand account of his catch with photos -

Congratulations, Alberto! :kewl: Way to go, pal!

I saw him there also on Thurs. He was at a Intro to Fly Fishing Booth. sitting with a pretty girl.

fishing BOOK".... and then with the proceeds buy yourself a kickass boat.....and set a bunch of new records and write book number two.... sounds like a fun way to go.....

Great job Alberto! It's awesome to see people who really put the time in be rewarded. :btu: I read your article in on the water - definitely keeping that for future reference. :D
