New Penn surf rods.

I was at the Worcester show and at the Penn booth and saw them, they were good looking rods.

The new orvis titanium pliers, interesting design and the price is very right for titanium pliers. Check out orvis online to view them.

I haven't put those pliers in hand yet, but I do have a bunch ordered.

They look like they have potential though.

one design problem i see right off the bat is cutting a deep hooked line from a bass's mouth. i hate side cutters for that.

11 Ft Tsunami Rod purchased yesterday! I read all the Tica/Tsunami threads - great info. Took a hard look at the Tica's at the Worcester Show. Unfortunately, I'm limited to a 2 piece scenario. The Tica 11ft and 10 1/2 ft graphite MH's seemed a little heavy and stiff for what I was looking for (I wonder why Tica doesn't put the bigger collector guide on the 10ft?). The Tsunami MH Trophy had a good mix of backbone and flexability. Bolstered by a 20% off plus an additrional $10 off #^&#^&#^&#^&'s coupon, I couldn't wait for the RI show! The 706Z balances great on it.

I can think of few ways thisLIGHT (http://www.theknifeconnection.com/browseproducts/Gerber-Inferno-Flexi-Light-(Black).html) could come in handy.

http://www.braidproducts.com/newproducts/1.html The blackjack looks like a nice bunker imitator. Wonder how castable it is.

This Braid company is excellent and has some great products. I used a number of their jigs last season and all of them worked. The nice thing is they are HEAVY DUTY. Strong jig and great hooks. You can haul fish with these jigs all day and they will not fail.
They make decent belts and harnesses too.

This blade bait is unreal. You can troll this sucker at just about any speed and depth.
Not cheap (like 20-25 bucks) but if you go offshore you need this in your box IMO. I think it is solid stainless steel.

Scud jig, landed many albies and a few bones near the steamship wharf and chappy last year

The betta bait works awesome, off shore casting or trolling rips around the fence

As for what will be hot this year...RED HOOKS and leaders.
