Thule has donated one of their Cast Away roof rack systems to the prize pool.

Here's the rest of the prizes: Raffle Info and Prizes (http://www.saltwateredge.com/events/flyfair2005.html)

Also Dave Fontaine, aka Seawolf, the shop's rod builder will be at the show as well for those who have questions regarding rod building.

Pete,
Any truth to the rumor that you'll have some of those Beachmaster needles for sale at the show?

thanks pete. yes, i'll be there.

since there will be some bm needles there, i will be demostrating the pendulum cast from inside the show. let's see, how big is this place....hey, pete, how many needles do you have? we may "go thru" a few.

toby, don't sing it, bring it. i have a couple mambo's waiting to crush the second i see you.

i hope to have a few blanks for some to bend and see. and rods already build of course. i'll also try to wrap one rod if i have time there. it is the rod i am building for a benefit raffle for don michaud through myself. it will be on display in a few places once done. i hope to start selling tickets for it real soon and give it away possibly sometime in may. it will be what i call a "bay fluke" rod.

see you there.

Thanks, Pete - actually, both Mrs. Crafty and I will be there Saturday with a number of newly-remastered angling images of world record catches, some original Denton chromolithographs I've just finished framing and.....

The 'X' Project...:cool:...which we've been working on for the last six weeks.

It's a documentary DVD a la Ken Burns - or Crafty Burns, as the case may be :hihi: - of late 19th and early 20th century images of angling pioneers and their trophy fish. In fact, we're currently pursuing a grant for further research on the subject and while it's been a lot of work, we've also had a blast doing it. If you're at the show stop by, say hi and take a look - if this doesn't get you ready for Spring, check yourself for a pulse!

And the good news is...no snow in the forecast - c'mon down!
