BigFish 02-20-2005, 07:24 PM Aluminum foil...came out ok but I want the stripes more fogged in than solid if you know what I mean....wait till' next time!;) Live and learn. NIB 02-21-2005, 07:19 AM I like it it looks cool like the japan art work.that blue is that the krylon plastic blue.thats a great color i blended that wit a white to make like a inside out eel color.started out tryin to do a beachmaster atom color.just alternating from on to the other till it all melded into one. did it on a needle an killed fish wit it. Karl F 02-21-2005, 09:01 AM I did a couple of mac patterns like that, I got the first 2 ho'ed right outta my hand by a certain painter/fisherman, and he mentioned something about Japanese art, even was mentioning some artists name, and technique! :hihi:..... I asked him if whatever he said was Japanese for "Aluminum Foil Stencil" :hihi: I like the look, kinda different,... Larry, ever do the freehand with the sharpie, or fine paint brush???? Jigman 02-21-2005, 10:00 AM Originally posted by BigFish Aluminum foil...came out ok but I want the stripes more fogged in than solid... Try holding the stencile a little off the plug. Either that or place something like match sticks on the back of the stencile to raise it up a bit. This will give you more of a fogged look on the edges. If you need to freehand stuff, get a speedball pen and a few tips. Use createx paint (or whatever paint you are using for the rest of the plug) rather than india ink in the pen. You can do lines, dots, signature, etc., in whatever color(s) you need. Jigman The Dad Fisherman 02-21-2005, 11:17 AM Originally posted by BigFish just need a compressor and some warm weather to power up and then...look out! Just power up indoors.....no Fumes w/ an airbrush. I just lay out some newspaper and then prop up a piece of foam board as a back stop. Also grab one of those coupons out of the paper for AC Moores. 40% off and you can also use it at Micheals as they will honor their competitor's coupons. Even if you don't get one that plug still looks pissah :btu: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
