i was thinking of going over to the power plant, on the next civil day to try my luck at some holdovers but it's something i've never done.has anyone else tried , and if so any luck .what if any tricks are there for holdovers other than slower than slow retrieve . if i don't drop a line soon i'm going to burst , i've spent so much dough on tackle some small countrys are calling my for loans and i'm not done yet.all rigs are tied , all reels are spooled , i'm going crazy argh!:wall:

I feel your pain too!
I used to fish those water's in fact I work just down the street from the outwash of that plant.I have never fished there for holdovers but it could be worth checking out.
If you park between the plant & Metro bus terminal on East First St.you'll find a hugh hole in the chain link fence follow it down to the water then go left to the power plant I'll bet Sluggo's would be a good bet.

That plant does not run all the time anymore - only one half runs and only as it's needed - it's not pushing out warm water constantly anymore.

You know I worked there back in 1993-94, I wasn't fishing back then though, was just an overtime whore, - - work, eat, sleep, work...
kicking my arse now, used to see a lot of guys fishing there at night.
Had to clean up after them too - I was a plant laborer back then...:smash:
