Hey, What ever happened to the warning that we all grown up with on the TV and Radio, In case of a emergency thingy??
We never got any warning during 911 or after or ever!
Kinda weird that they tested it for 40 years and then never used it!
Just a little grumpy today I guess. Maybe a question for the %$%$%$%$mister

That Amber ALert seems to work pretty well - TV, radio, and roadsigns . . . wonder how it differs from the EAS
We both must have some "free time" today :D

Yep, heard it yesterday on the radio. Used to hear it all the time when we were still afraid of the Russians.

I used to live in Everett years ago, and the firehouse a few dorrs down used to test their old "air raid" style alarm every Saturday at noon. The first time I heard it, I almost jumped out of my skin, but aftr a while, it was like having a clock that tells you when it's noon.

being told to crawl under our desks to protect ourselves from a nuclear attack..... what a total friggan joke of an idea....
that truly is.... to give you an idea -> of the generated force..... of an atomic blast....there was this bridge in hiroshima, Japan.... that had a man's shadow embossed into the concrete as he vaporised into flames....the shadow spot on the bridge for that split second remained coooler and thus froze his image there....
