This winter has been relentless. I heard that there is another big storm on Friday. Just spoke to a buddy in Southern Wisconsin and it's in the mid-Teens right now. Also headed this way.

I heard the same thing Pie from a buddy out west. We are in that pattern riding the fence between the tropical moisture and the cold artic air. We need that jet stream to lift north....until then we will be in jeopardy every time a couple of fronts meet.:af:

CT is a nightmare right now. Changed to snow around 11 am in the hartford area, it froze on the roads and now there's about 1-2" of snow on top of that ice! Hell my commute's been pretty mundane lately...time to spice it up!

Incredibly windy in Cumberland now. Snowing like hell but not accumulating too much. Wind is the story here now. I'd say its gusting 60+ right now at my house.

No real accumulation here, but it hit around noon, and every a-hole immediately left work early. End result, jammed roads, no way for the plows and salt trucks to do their thing, evening commute was a living hell :af:

I was in 4wd the whole way and averaging 25-30. Lost count of the spinouts, 75% of which were SUVs.

They say it was real bad in NJ and that I-95 was a parking lot from Greenwich to Bridgeport.

Glad she was ok. Driving got really nasty last nite. I made a trip over to Walpole (about 9 miles) and when I was ready to leave it was white out. Took 50 minutes to get home with a stop every mile to clean off the wiper blades, All season blades my arse.

After getting what frozen cars we could get inside my 45 to 50 minute commute home from Walpole (Hi Dave!) took almost two full hours..... some moron/overly cautious/just plain scared driver had that gap to go by plows....two to the right then a bit further two to the left.... that driver decided to go 15 mph and not pass the first set of plows after miles of horn honking and lights flashing a few of us directly behind got by with a move Belichek would have been proud of.... What a frigging nightmare commute that was!

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Any herring yet?

Generally I get up at 545 and go to the gym before work, this AM I woke up, heard the wind, turned on the news and stayed in bed till 7...

Get to work and since I walk about 10min from my car to my office every monring; for 10min I think I was legally a women, took an hour for the boys to drop back out... Even though I watched the weather this AM, I vastly underestimated the cold when I left the house this morning.... what a dum-bass :af:

Someone back me up on this, but the last few cold winters the spring run in NJ has been steller, and sucked up here... lets hope thats not the case.... 67 days till the big girls should be here....

and P, quit your whining, you know living in Snowiville you always get the worst of it... :D :D :D :D :D
