I am wondering how many of you replace hooks on bombers and mombo's type plugs? I ordered some VMC hooks to do it but i looked at the hooks and they look like mustad 3x hooks on them. I am just wondering what you all think about it.

I replace the hooks on my 5" Mambos straight away with 1/0 mustads. Whatever comes on them get mangled real easy.

Change them to VMC. You won't be sorry.

While you're at it, change the factory split rings, too. HD 2x size 4, or even better, the three-ring 3x in size 4.

I got new split rings and and VMC hooks so I may as well
go and do them it definatlly will not hurt
