View Full Version : What if?
Got Stripers 11-19-2001, 04:15 PM They hadn't fumbled at the Rams goal line, I'd have loved to see how that game would have played out differently. I'd have to say I'm impressed the defense keep it so close and Brady wasn't too shabby again either.
Still I think the Rams probably could have cranked it up offensively to whatever they needed to do. I think even I could have completed some passes with that much time to throw :). Go to Minots, square out and I'll throw the rubba.
redcrbbr 11-19-2001, 06:00 PM i'll be at the game next sunday and i kinda expect to see bledsoe to be out there playing this time.(just a hunch). the pats had played a pretty awesome game till that one play where smith fumbled the ball. had they scored the pats might even have stepped up to the next level. sometimes that is all it takes to get the players to play "where they can do no wrong" they did alot better than i expected and probably surprised a few other people too.
The Pats SUX... GO GIANTS !!!! :D :p
JohnR 11-19-2001, 09:15 PM Tsk, tsk, tsk - figures, another boy from Joisey - that would be The Pats SUCK - not The Pats SUX... You're just still in denial over the Yankees...
GS - they had numerous shots and stayed somewhat within it. One encouraging bit was the relative lack of costly penalties...
tarheel 11-19-2001, 09:35 PM I think he meant......GO JETS !!!!!!
John, just messing with you boys from up north... :p
Also, I'm a lifelong Mets fan. Not a Yankee Fan. :D
I have such fond memories the Mets - Red Socks World Series. Sorry. ;)
Got Stripers 11-21-2001, 07:52 PM I kind of had a feeling Brady was going to get the call the rest of the year, but man don't I feel for poor Drew. He should pull a Bourque and bail out and go somewhere that he has a shot. Did anyone catch the interviews of him after the other shoe dropped, you could see he was just steaming over the news.
Boston sports team owners, managers, coach's what's up with that?
JohnR 11-21-2001, 08:16 PM I didn't see those interviews. You know, I can't tell if he didn't have the respect of the team that Brady does now or if the team is better just because it's better. I have a hard time believing that Bledsoe is done and that Brady is a better QB.
I'm not suprised that the Bellichek has Drew as backup for the rest of the season but I don't know if we are better off with Brady long term. I'm just not sold on it.
What I can't understand is why Bledsoe's reads are slower now than they were in the earlier years... You don't expect hime to get more mobile but you do expect him to read quicker, check off and get the ball down field...
Yo Arbster - the Pats are in a QB quandry but are on the way up. The Gi'nts are on the way down again... Oh well...
Some've forgiven Buckner but he's still not allowed back in New England...
John, Bledsoe has been done since before Parcells left. He just makes bad decisions. I see it every time they play the Jets. He throws into coverage all the time, badly. He forces the ball.
Bill Bellichek is a great Defensive Coordinator. He's a mediocre Head Coach (at best). He went to New England because he couldn't handle the Jets and the NY spotlight. Even when Parcells "handed" a winning team to him.
Now, the Giants... Kerry Collins needs a drink and the Giants need a QB. At least one who can move around a little. The Giants NEVER had a mobile QB. NEVER. Just the 3 steps and pass types. Also, Ron Dayne, the RB is still afraid to run thru holes. He's turning out to be another wasted Giant draft choice.
On to Bill Buckner. I was going to mention him but I only wanted to dig a little. Not get kicked off the site :D Still hurts. Doesn't it? ;)
bloocrab 11-22-2001, 12:32 AM ....Drew Bledsoe is an unproven franchise quarterback...he's just waiting to come out of "His" closet..:D
..They should hold out...try to get some sort of running game developed..while he matures a bit more..."THEN" we'll be ready ;)...
