View Full Version : Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!!!
JohnR 11-21-2001, 11:19 AM Gwen, Liam, and I want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Take a little extra time this year to show your family that you are thankfull, especially in light of all that's happen in the past few months. Too many people had the chance to spend Thanksgiving STOLEN from them since September 11 - not too mention seeing children & grandchildren grow, graduations, births, and ball games.
Also, please give a little extra thanks to the guys & gals that are overseas or away from their homes right now in the defense of our country. They deserve the best!!!
(If anyone needs a turkey, my bro-in-law in CT rasied a bunch and I'll give you his address if you want to "borrow" a Turkey for a day ;) http://128.241.205.103/vbulletin/images/smilies/behead.gif )
JohnR 11-21-2001, 11:41 AM this too....

schoolie monster 11-21-2001, 12:23 PM Thank you John and happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone on the board. And everyone should wish young Liam a happy birthday as his first is over the holiday weekend.
A year already... yikes. Goes quick.
Oh yeah, a helpful hint to everyone. I figured out how not to get overstuffed this year... no salad. I think if I skip the salad, I'll be in much better shape.
Anyone fishing this weekend? I was thinkin' about hitting the Thames on friday, but my transom saver broke a few weeks back and my order from BPS hasn't arrived yet. If it comes today, I may head down.
FW, have a great trip back home and feel free to bring me back some venison steaks.

Got Stripers 11-21-2001, 02:50 PM Anyone fishing this weekend? I was thinkin' about hitting the Thames on friday, but my transom saver broke a few weeks back and my order from BPS hasn't arrived yet. If it comes today, I may head down.
Schoolie Monster: I'm headed down Friday, so give me a call. I wouldn't be concerned about trailering without a transom saver, people did it for a long time before someone invented them :). I've got in invite into a guy from another board I've been trying to get out, but if he can't maybe we can get a few guys together for a little pre winter fishing.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, hope the holiday is a good one.
Saltheart 11-21-2001, 03:57 PM Happy Holiday everyone. We'll be stuffed to the gills tomorrow. I have to eat two feasts tomorrow. One with my family early tomorrow and one later that night with my girlfriends family. Serving double duty is tough! :)
schoolie monster 11-21-2001, 04:29 PM Ain't an issue... my wife had a half day and low and behold, my "stuff" has arrived at the house! In that package is a secret weapon solely for use at the Thames. Its a lure so deadly, I refuse to devulge its name.
GS, I won't be around till late tomorrow night. I'm headed for a T-day feast at the cape... and down to Rhody saturday. So, I don't know if I want to sandwich in a trip down to CT... BUT, I tinkered around with my fishing stuff this past weekend, ya know, cleaning up and putting away my surf stuff, rigging up a couple of outfits for the Thames and now I want to FISH.
I probably won't know for sure until tomorrow night if I'm going. Do you want to email me or post your plans and I'll try to logon when I'm back?
If you're gonna end up going alone, it seems silly for us both to trailer down there...
Anyway, if we don't touch base, and I go, I'm sure I'll see ya down there in scenic Norwich Hahbah.
