What site is this? SOL? I haven't read so much BS since I stopped frequenting SOL. Why do we have to get into each others business? I know Scott... I am guilty too. I think we really need to sit back and take a look at what is going on here. We act like children on this site the Drama is so thick I can't stand it anymore! We all take ourselves WAYYYYYY to seriously, remember what you are... all of us... STINKY FISHERMEN, along with that though, we are supposed to be adults and act like them. Next to that we are friends, acquaintences and some of us have our differences (which is stupid too) but it happens. OK... if you have to call JohnR or PM a moderator about whether you should post something.... I know the answer already, NO! (Scott please don't take offense to that I know it seems like it was pointed at you but it wasn't, it's a general statement to everyone :) )

Obviously we know how to get under each others skin, stupid right  Why bother? Once again, acting like children (and yes I know I am guilty)

Publicly ripping someone is not a good idea either. I didn't read what Ben wrote, but I think we have a right to know if someone is stiffing people, beyond that, the matter should be dealt with in private. Am I right?

I know I am just another guy with another opinion, I'm just asking you guys to remember why you came here in the first place, because SOL sucks :P and because you love to fish. I have made a lot of friends on this site and sadly a few enemies, I don't plan on stirring the coals with those people though and would welcome a reconsiliation if the opportunity presented itself. This site was intended for everyone and the BS that goes on really brings the place down, so try and remember to think about what your going to say and if you think twice or hesitate, let it lie.

Remember,
This is supposed to be fun! :wavey:  :hihi:

Nicely said Dave.

They should rename the "ENTER" key......"THINK FIRST"!!!!!!!
Or "GET READY TO PUT FOOT IN MOUTH"!!!

It's funny how many fights break out on the internet...But we all get along so well in person.
The NET..Love it and Hate it....

We all need to fish!

Dave - good post...

If you have a problem with a post/thread, click on the Bad Post http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripertalk/images/buttons/report.gif icon for one of the mods to check it out. That is the way it should be handled please. If you have a particular issue with a transaction in the classifieds, let us know and we will make a determination. We run the classifieds as a service to you guys - our members - and want to make sure it stays open clean and honest (but read the new disclaimer  )...

Not trying to compare this site to others as I'm not too concerned about other sites - just making this site the best (read not the biggest). We try to have the best members and the best sponsors and the best get-togethers. All in all, the best COMMUNITY... That is our goal and it takes all of you to make it happen...

Fortunately the shacknasties of cabin fever should be nearing an end. Please keep this in mind as it sadly happens every year and burts just before the fishies arrive (like now :tm: ). So, let's keep this on an even keel and make this the best site it can be. Not a drag...

Thanks,

John

Cool, :kewl:

I am glad that was taken in the way it was intended.

John,

My intention was not to compare the sites but rather to use an example of how bad things can get to point out both the severity and the silliness of this and other situations. I think you know where I stand on this site and that is that I feel a true loyalty to this site and many of its members. I know so many people because of this site I think its really cool. :) I don't need to say anything else we have about 3 weeks to go here in my area so to use your word.... the "shacknasties" are being chased away as we speak.

Iwannakeeper - I'll reconsile with you anytime big guy :heybaby:

I will soon need to find someone to do my laundry, so I've got little energy to look at anyone else's dirty laundry. Crap my boats for sale and my truck is next, I've hid my golf clubs though.
