Can anyone tell me what it feels like? I never had mine out and I have been fighting a sore throat for almost 3 weeks now....my ears feel clogged and my throat hurts when I swallow. It is sore way in the back.....what do you think?

:rude: <Say ahhhhhhh!

My mom works for an ENT and she says it would be brutal for some one your age to get them out. 3 weeks recovery. Drink some brandy ya big wuss.

Sounds like you need a very complex procedure....

It's called an Addadictome and can only be performed by the most skilled surgeons. :laughs: :laughs:

Seriously though, never had it. Hope you feel better soon. It's fishing time!

Had mine out at 18, 22 years ago. No solid food for a couple of days. It hurts, but better than being sick.

My 7 year old had them out last year and bounced back in a couple of days.

Go see a Dr., bite the bullet and get it done...

Had mine out when I was 5, Larry, so I can't remember what tonsilitis feels like ;)

Oh yeah, I forgot to add them to the "things I don't miss" thread :D

I've had ear infections that caused that......there all connected, ears and throat.

I would go see a doctor, they'll give you some antibiotics and you'll feel better in a couple of days

I had mine done last year. Brutal isn't the word for it. first week no solid food. Lost 16#s in 2 weeks. The meds were good though :jump1:

Larry, any better? Your age, I meant anyone over the age of 20. The recovery time is longer and more painfull the older you get.

DR Dad............ ahhh ha ha ha:hs::bl::wave:

ps hey larry the acerola chewable 500 milligram wafers sold at CVS pharmacy is some of the best vitamin C around . 9 of -em fit into
an empty film canister for traveling....eat one per hour as you pee out
2/3 of all you consume. For emergencies wiz a bunch in grapejuice in the blender. ibuprophen (advil) to reduce swelling in throat and maybe a strawberry colada at dunkin donuts too.
