Karl F 04-11-2005, 08:19 PM WOW... uh.. that would work :uhuh: Christian 04-11-2005, 09:31 PM nice!! i bet if you tied it on a bit beefier hook, and purple or blue, it would kill cod. im not sure how big that hook is though steelhead 04-12-2005, 05:34 AM It's a 3/0 Alec Jackson spey fly hook. 2-1/4" long. Usually tie big salmon flies on them. capesams 04-12-2005, 05:44 AM that's a good looking shrimp ...everytime I use a teaser an plug I get the bigger of the 2 fish on the teaser an the smaller fish on the plug  Flaptail 04-12-2005, 01:01 PM I'd like to toss that on my seven weight in Scorton Creek. I don't think there is a Brown trout there who would not eat it. Very nice, got any on a size 8? :kewl: steelhead 04-12-2005, 04:08 PM That particular hook goes down to a 7. Also tie some very small ones on Diachi salmon egg hooks. I like them for when the bass are on really small stuff. it's still got a nice hook gap and it's very strong. I'll post a few on the SW board. Don't want to clutter this up to much :-) steelhead 04-12-2005, 05:51 PM ...on the Salt Water Fly Fishing Board... Hadn't realized how many I'd tied recently. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
